Jeffrey Gerlach Endorses Art Moore for Congress

Press Release

Independent (No Party Preference) candidate Jeffrey Gerlach, who finished third in the June Primary behind Republicans Tom McClintock and Art Moore, has endorsed businessman and military officer Art Moore in his bid to represent California's Fourth Congressional District.

"Thank you to all who voted in the June Primary for new representation. Congress has become too much about money and not enough about doing what's right for the people," said Gerlach. "With Art Moore, we have an opportunity to start a new generation of leadership from within the district: Art will put the needs of the district in the forefront again and will represent all the views of the district in Congress, not just the extreme views of one party. That is why I am voting for Art Moore."

"I am honored to have earned Jeff's endorsement," said Moore. "Jeff and I have seen first-hand on the campaign trail a concern among voters that their children and grandchildren will experience a lower quality of life and that the American dream is fading. I believe America's greatest days are still ahead of us, and I am committed to fixing our broken Congress, getting honest self-government working again and protecting the American dream for future generations."

Art Moore is a Republican who believes in individual liberty, limited government, and personal responsibility. A businessman, military officer, and proven leader, Art seeks to deliver results for the hardworking people of the Fourth District.

Art knows that the people of the Fourth District deserve a leader who is one of their own and will represent their concerns in Washington. With a focus on responsible fiscal management, a strong national defense, and protection of individual liberties, Art seeks to work past gridlock, create jobs and keep our promises to America's veterans and seniors.

A Fourth District resident, Art graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and has a combined 14 years of Active Duty and National Guard service including 30 months deployed overseas in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. He is a combat veteran and Bronze Star recipient, and is currently a Major in the Army National Guard. In a dual career, which includes eight years as a business executive, Art is currently on leave from Deloitte Consulting where he oversaw cost and efficiency improvements for federal government clients in the U.S. Intelligence Community.

The California Fourth Congressional District covers Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Mariposa, and Tuolumne Counties, and portions of Fresno, Madera, Nevada, and Placer Counties.
